ericayoga146Thank you for taking the time to explore the offerings at Yoga Shala.  Yoga Shala was formed to create a space on the Main Line to offer practitioners, both experienced and new to the Practice, a refuge of sorts– a place where they can be supported in their journey of Self discovery through practices such as Asana (postures/physical practice), Pranayama (breath-work), Meditation, Kirtan (devotional chanting), as well as various body-work and healing modalities (such as Massage, Reiki, Reflexology).  The intention is to make these powerful practices accessible and allow students the space to recognize that to know who we truly are, we must be willing to stop looking outside of ourselves and turn within. When you enter Yoga Shala you will see the words:  “Gate Gate Para Gate Parasam Gate Boddhi Svaha,” which is a mantra that embodies what Yoga Shala is about, it translates to: “Gone, gone, gone to the Other Shore, attained the Other Shore having never left”.

The teachers at Yoga Shala are not only highly experienced and knowledgeable, but have also committed themselves to their own self-inquiry work beyond the Asana (posture) practice. Teachers at Shala have all completed the minimal 200- hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs, and many have graduated from 500-hour advanced trainings as well as Yoga Therapy, Anatomy and Physiology Advanced training, Mediation Training and many more continuing education programs.

Shala is located in the beautiful small town of Narberth, PA.  The studio is one large sunlit room with unlimited free parking in the rear, as well as a private yoga/massage/healing treatment room.
